May 21 Victoria leaving the ship
We were
docked at Ogden Point in Victoria. The
sky was cloudy, with a light breeze, temperature 11 C. As we went to breakfast, the exit from the
ship was being set up on the Port side of the Deck 3 lobby.
After
breakfast with two ladies from near Toronto and a couple from Eugene, Oregon,
we collected the daily newsletter of Canadian news, the Crossword and Sudoku
puzzles. We packed the luggage and
settled our account on board.
. We
waited by the passenger terminal for Bob to pick us up. We met Margot at the golf course for lunch
and were joined by Colin and Nicole.
After lunch we went for an hour walk around the Oak Bay neighbourhood
along the beach and on streets where the old trees arched over road. We sat out
on the deck and visited until a rain shower chased us inside.
We had a
barbecued chicken dinner with everyone and then Colin and Nicole had to leave
to catch their plane home.
We had a
relaxing evening at home.
Total
distance walked 7.94 km
