May 28 leaving Vancouver
It was raining
when we got up this morning there was a 22 km per hour wind and only 9 C
outside. The rain started around
midnight, so the streets are wet.
Fortunately the rental car was parked in covered parking. Since we didn’t want to be out in the rain we
decided return the car to the airport car rental and check-in early for the
flight to Calgary. We walked inside the terminal,
stopped for coffee and to read a Saturday newspaper, walked some more and ate a
light lunch. Our Boeing 737-700 plane left at 3 p.m. for the flight to Calgary,
we had logged 5.49 km. We had a 90
minute stopover before boarding the flight home. The flight home was under two hours. The taxi ride was less than 25 minutes before
arriving home. First item to do on Sunday was to cut the lawn that had not been
mowed for over three weeks.
Total distance walked 8.1 km
